Terms and Conditions

To qualify to become a Rescue Renegade, you must be 18 years of age or older, complete the application, and undergo the organization’s screening process. Upon initial screening success, training begins! Once trained you will be on-boarded and officially certified as an official Rescue Renegade. Our team will then work with you directly to match you with dogs in your area in desperate need of foster care for as long as you are committed to helping our cause.

Rescue Renegade is funded completely by donations and contributions. Rescue Renegades are encouraged to help support our cause and donate at least $75 upon first joining our organization. After the first year, and each year thereafter you can renew your certification for a minimum donation to Rescue Renegade for $25.

Rescue Renegades provide foster care for dogs in immediate need. Foster care is temporary care provided by responsible, compassionate and caring foster parents until they can be adopted to quality homes.
Providing a good home environment with proper socialization, exercise and loving care gives our foster animals a better chance of being placed more quickly.

We do not operate a shelter, but partner with other non profit shelters and individuals directly who can no longer keep their dog.

Rescue Renegade and partnering organizations will provide food, crates, bedding, toys and other items as needed for the animal while it is in your care at home. In some cases, you may be responsible to provide the above items for your foster dog, and will be notified of situations like this prior to making any commitment. Necessary veterinary care for foster dogs will also be provided by Rescue Renegade or partnering organizations. Qualified foster parents (also known as Rescue Renegades) will receive continued support, training and guidance while they are active members of the Rescue Renegade organization.

I promise to keep the foster dog safe and secure, provide food, water, love and respect, exercise enrichment, socialization, basic obedience and house training as needed to make the foster animal more adoptable and better suited to the right home. I will return the foster animal to Rescue Renegade or a partnering organization or shelter when requested to do so; not promise the animal to anyone or imply that you have the authority to approve a potential adoption. Our organizations retain ownership of all dogs placed in foster care and will make all decisions regarding the adoption and placement of the animals fostered. The foster parent is responsible for transporting the foster dog to and from appointments as required, unless other arrangements are made.

Foster services performed by an individual are voluntary and are without any express or implied promise of salary, compensation, or payment of any kind.

I have read and understand the questions and statements in this application. I certify that all the information contained in this application is true and correct and I understand the responsibilities I will undertake as a foster parent for Rescue Renegade. I understand that although Rescue Renegade takes reasonable care to screen animals for foster care placement, it makes no guarantees relating to the animals’ health, behavior or actions.
